By using reformulated icons or patterns drawn from personal, social, religious and mythic icon dictionaries, I play with texture, patina, and image in order to create something material which points toward and resonates with eternal moments of power and import. When you light the fire, the sculpture becomes alive, your thoughts can focus as you interact with these modern votive icons.
