Shane is an average student academically and likes his PE classes the most. Other than
sports, he likes to go on trips with his family, likes to go to professional sporting
events, camping, and other outdoor activities. Shane plans to go to a Junior College in
Santa Maria, a year or so out of high school.
I would like to thank my physical therapist, Lynn Rigney, all of my coaches through out
school and especially my mom and dad. My parents really love coming to my games and
watching me play. They hardly ever missed any of my games ever since I was a little kid.
They have always given me a ton of support and inspiration in everything I've ever done
including sports. It wouldn't be the same if my parents weren't in the stands cheering for
me.
Shane has lived in Fortuna all of his life. He went to South Fortuna Elementary School and
Town School. Shane first started playing sports at a young age. His parents got him
involved in T-ball, as his first sport. He played baseball until he was 15 years old.
Shane played soccer when he was 10 years old. He played football from Pee Wee to his
freshman year, and basketball from 1st grade to his freshman year. Shane had knee surgery
after his freshman year and had to sit out his sophomore year. He worked really hard to
strengthen the muscle in his knee, so that he could play basketball again. Physical therapy
helped him alot in his recovery.
