Brad received team MVP for soccer and basketball, all-tourney for basketball, Athlete of the Year at his 8th grade graduation, three first places in Drug Poster contests. The two
awards he is most proud of are awards he received in High School. The first was the plaque he received for MVP Offense at the Crusader JV Basketball tournament last year. The second was the HDN Star he received this year for being voted one of four Fortuna soccer players to receive All County.
Academically, Brad tries to keep a 3.0 GPA. He favorite class is drawing. Next to sports
and spending time with his girlfriend, Mandy, drawing is his favorite thing to do. When
Brad needs to relax or get rid of stress, he draws.
Brad's future goals are to go to college to pursue a career in art, maybe a cartoonist, and
to play college basketball.
I would like to thank my brothers, Brian and Greg, for showing me their commitment,
dedication, and how to give 100% when they were playing a sport. My mom and dad and my Grandma and Grandpa Timmerman for their support and being my biggest fans. Mr. Lesku for being a great coach and making soccer successful and fun.
My advice for future players is to be committed and give 100% at practice as well as games.
Brad went to school at Stanwood Murphy Elementary School in Scotia where he grew up and still lives with his parents, Joe and Kathy, and his two older brothers, Brian and Greg.
Brad started playing sports when he was six years old. He played soccer, basketball,
baseball, volleyball and softball in grade school. When he got to Fortuna High School, he
decided to just play soccer and basketball.
