Moses has been interested in sports since he was six years old. He has migrated quite a bit and has attended many different elementary schools, all the way from Captain Gray in Pasco, WA. to Shackleford Elementary when he first took a crack at sports. He played soccer and had a great time playing. His team had a winning season. From there on, he has played every sport that was in season and that he liked, from football, basketball, baseball and track. Mo has had a lot of great experiences.
He first started playing basketball in Crescent Elk in Crescent City. Then he relocated in Rio Dell Elementary, where he stuck with basketball and had a great time with it. Mo has successfully made the team every year here at Fortuna and hopes to have a lot more great experiences. He successfully played varsity basketball on the HDN Championship team last year.
His academics have always been up to par. In his elementary school years he had no problems keeping A's . In High School his college prep classes he is maintaining B's and has dreams of attending a university. He has also achieved honors in the Algebra Golden State Exams.
Moses has also received many awards for sports. He had a successful winning season in football in his junior year. In the past he has received many awards from "Mr. Defensive Tackle" in his first year of high school football, to "Captain of the Football Team" and receiving the "Spike Sarvinski" award this year. He also has started at many different positions on the team. He hopes to continue receive awards at college level in the years to come. He was part of the "94" 4 X 4 relay team in track that took first place in Humboldt and Del Norte counties.
Moses hopes to attend a university or state college. He is undecided on what course of study will be, but he wants to be independently wealthy and live a happy live. Moses's success has been supported by his loving parents, John and Mary Ross. Mo really appreciates their support.
The advice he can give to the younger athletes out there is to not let go of their dreams. Stay in school, keep up your grades, that is important!
Moses's dream is to play college level football and basketball, and to give it his best. Football is the greatest sport Mo has ever played.
Moses had an injury at the start of the season and it never healed enough for his to play this year.
