FORREST IRELAND


JUNIOR

Forrest Ireland started school at Ferndale Elementary school in Kindergarten then his family moved to Loleta where he were he finished the 7th and 8th grade. Forrest attended Frendale High School his freshman year and transferred to Fortuna High School for his sophomore year. Forrest has been involved in sports since the age of eight years old, when he played for the Ferndale Cardinals little league baseball team. This was the beginning of many years of hard work and long practices for Forrest. He has received many awards and trophy's for his hard work and accomplishments, including "All Tournament" in basketball and "All Star" selection in Babe Ruth baseball. Forrest is very excited about being selected to play on this years varsity basketball team and will do his best to help his team mates have a successful season. During the weekends his favorite past times include watching sports on TV with his dad and brothers. He especially likes getting together with his friends and playing basketball and football when ever possible. The best advice that Forrest can give to young athletes who are just starting out is to try your best, and work your hardest. Don't ever give up, because if you want something bad enough you will have to strive hard enough that you can have it. Forrest is enjoying school, his two favorite classes are his second year of science with Mrs. Morris and his history class with Mr. Benbow. He does appreciate all of his teachers at Fortuna High School for all of their hard work and concern. After high school, Forrest would like to continue his education. He would like to attend College of the Redwoods. Forrest parents are Phil and Cindy Ireland, and he has three brothers Kelly, Tyler and Matthew.
