Tyler Franklin

JUNIOR

Growing up in Scotia, California, Tyler has spent countless hours playing sports.  From baseball to football and from motor cross to basketball, Tyler has done it all.

Although Tyler excelled in all sports, his passion has always been in basketball.  Over the years, Tyler has made numerous achievements.  Ever since he started playing organized basketball at the age of six, Tyler has played in different leagues which are the Scotia Athletic Association, Scotia Elementary School and now for Fortuna High School. In addition to helping lead his teams to win numerous tournaments he has won many individual awards such as MVP of the Trinity Valley Tournament, All Tourney at the Crescent Tournament and many others.

After entering Fortuna High School, Tyler has started for the Huskies each year.  Except when he sat out for the first half of his sophomore year, due to a knee injury caused by a motor cross accident.  Now that he is recovered, Tyler looks forward to returning to the court and contributing to his team.

Tyler is an all around player as well as an all around individual, maintaining a 3.8 grade point average.

Tyler wants to than his family for all the support that they have given him over the years.  His parents have never missed a game and his two older brothers Landon and Garrett for always pushing him to become a better player.  Tyler says that without his brothers he would not be where he is today.  Tyler's advice to future players is "work hard in the off season, because basketball players are made in the off season."
