Jeff
has been playing sports since he was four years old. This year is his second year on the Fortuna Varsity
Basketball team. Lat year as a
sophomore on Varsity he has a successful season.
As a freshman, he played on the JV team, leading to another successful
season. Playing on the varsity team
as a sophomore gave him a lot of experience that will help him over the coming
years. This year he hopes to win
the Big 5 division and become NCS Champions.
Early
in his life, Jeff has played numerous seasons of sport, playing at t high level
for his age. He attended Cuddeback
Elementary until the sixth grad, where he played on the basketball teams,
starting his sports career. He
received numerous awards for his achievements on and off the court, the most
notable an All-Tournament selection in the Jacoby Creek sixth grade Tournament
as a fifth grader.
After
the sixth grade, Jeff moved to Fortuna and attended Fortuna Town School where he
played for this seventh and eighth grade years. His years were successful ones, placing first place in his
league both seasons and winning All-Tournament and MVP honors.
In his eighth grade year, he was leading scorer on the team, helping his
team capture an AAA (highest division) seed selection in the Crescent City
eighth grade tournament. That year
he received 4 All-Tournament selections, including one in Crescent City.
Jeff
also plays baseball, beginning when he was four. He’s played for Little League, Babe Ruth, High School and
American Legion; he’s been selected on the All-Star teams every year since he
was ten. He was part of the Fortuna
Little League 10 year old All-Star team in 1996, which went to the State
Tournament in Sacramento. He has
played on other championship teams in Little League and Babe Ruth throughout his
baseball career. Jeff has also
played football in his freshman year.
