Stephanie
graduated from Fortuna High School in 1998. She has played basketball from the time she could dribble the ball.
Stephanie started playing organized basketball at Cuddeback Elementary in the 4thgrade.
Stephanie’s freshman year of high school, she made the Junior Varsity team and helped take the team through an undefeated season. During the post season of Stephanie’s freshman year, she was honored to move up to the Varsity team. Stephanie played Varsity basketball from then on at Fortuna High.
Since
high school, Stephanie has been working toward receiving her degree in Psychology and plans on a career as a high school guidance
counselor.
Stephanie started coaching basketball right out of high school. Her first coaching experience was at Toddy Thomas coaching the
5th grade girls’ basketball team in 1999.
Since then Stephanie has coached the 6th and 7th grade girls’
basketball team at Toddy Thomas and has been an assistant coach for the Freshman and Varsity Girls teams at Fortuna High School.
Stephanie loves coaching no matter what the sport. She has also coached the 7th and 8th grade girls’ volleyball
team at Toddy Thomas. This year Stephanie is honored to be the Junior Varsity Girls Head
Coach. She is looking forward to a wonderful
season that will be filled with new experiences and challenges, not only for her but also for her
team. Stephanie is looking forward to coaching with Head Coach Howard Scott and
Freshman Coach Dennis Rosser. She feels she will be able to learn a lot from both coaches throughout the seasons
to come.
