Aside from sports, Stephanie is involved in the
Humboldt/Del Norte Interschool Council (HDNISC). She was
elected the president of HDNISC this year. The HDNISC is a
drug and alcohol free group of students from all the high schools that put on these type of activities for
students. This year the HDNISC will be awarding the Sportsmanship banner to the school showing the best
sportsmanship for the school year.
Away from school Stephanie likes to spend time with her friends and driving up to Arcata with her
two best friends Lori and Berny. Also in Stephanie's spare time she enjoys going to the beach, meeting new
people, writing poetry, going to the movies, talking on the phone with her other best friend Mavis, and
constantly smiling and laughing. Stephanie feels a smile can brighten everyone's day.
After high school Stephanie plans on attending HSU and possibly playing basketball there. She would
like to follow her mother's footsteps and major in psychology.
Stephanie's family has been great to her and support her in whatever she does. She would like to say
thank you to them and recognize her brother Doug for being the best brother anyone could have. She loves
them all very much and could not be as successful without them
Stephanie the daughter of Tim and Debra, has been playing
organized basketball since the fourth grade. She started playing
volleyball and softball in the fifth grade and continued through
the eight grade. During her freshman year, she was honored
to make the JV basketball team. Stephanie was the leading
rebounder for the season. She and thirteen other sophomores
made their way to a league championship. Last year, as a
Sophomore, she played her first year of varsity level basketball.
This will be Stephanie's second year. Her Dad's inspiration and
her love for the game is what keeps Stephanie playing.
