AMY CRISPIN


SENIOR

Amy graduated from Toddy Thomas School in 1993 and has been involved in a variety of sports practically her whole life. She started playing recreation basketball in second grade. Her love of basketball was inherited from her father who played high school and still plays recreation basketball. Amy played for the freshman basketball team at FUHS and then went on to play for the JV team her sophomore year (with a little experience on the Varsity team). She'd like to express her great appreciation to her freshman and JV basketball coach Mike Benbow. He inspired her and made her feel great about herself and her playing ability. She would also like to thank Glen Senestraro for all his help and support. Amy is playing her second year on Varsity this year as a guard or forward.

Amy has also been involved in many other sports including soccer, volleyball, baseball (softball), cheerleading and track. Amy played soccer fourth through eighth grade. She's played with the first official FUHS girls' soccer team for the past three years. Amy played volleyball for her seventh and eighth grade years, and for the FUHS JV volleyball team her freshman year. Amy also played softball in sixth and eighth grade. Amy ran track fourth through sixth grade and was on the FUHS Varsity track team her sophomore year.

Amy is also very active in school. She participates in Interact, CSF, NHS and was the junior class treasurer. She also accompanies the school choir. Amy has played the piano for twelve years and now teaches piano lessons to seven students. Amy has also been involved in Danish dancing tor twelve years and is currently an assistant instructor for the Danish juniors. She is a Christian and attends Wood Street Chapel.

Amy has fun listening to music, talking on the phone, hanging out with her friends/boyfriend, visiting her relatives, spending time with her family, and watching movies.

Amy plans to go on to a four-year university in California, preferably UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis or CSU Sacramento. She is interested in multiple career choices and has varied interests. Amy wants to minor in both foreign language (Spanish) and anthropology. She also hopes to play some intramural college basketball and maybe soccer.

Amy's parents are Don and Mercedes Crispin. Don is a teacher at Toddy Thomas School and Mercedes is a teacher at Hydesville Elementary School. Amy's sister Mandy is in seventh grade at Toddy Thomas School. Amy has many cats and two dogs. Her family also has several varieties of snakes that her father breeds.
