Lindsay Dwelley

JUNIOR

"You better put this girl into a basketball program!" Doctor Mogel said to the parents of Lindsay Dwelley when she was only a newborn. Basketball has been a part of Lindsay's day-to-day life ever since. Being taller than her average classmates always gave her an advantage while playing basketball.. She played for Fortuna Elementary school 6th-8th grades. She played junior varsity basketball during her first two years of high school. Now as a junior, she is playing her first year on the varsity team. Lindsay has participated in many other sports including soccer, tennis and track and field.

Outside of sports, Lindsay is very involved in extra - curricular activities. This year she is a class officer and a member of CFS/NHS, Interact, and GATE. School in itself manages to keep her very busy. Lindsay also belongs to Pressed Ham Theater Company and has participated in two productions in the last year and a half. She played the confident and caustic disco queen in the winter production of "Travolting, A Disco Odyssey." The group also performed the play, "Dune Warriors - The Musical" in the summer for nine nights at the Eagle House in Eureka. The little extra time that she has, she likes to spend it with her family and close friends.

Lindsay has an older brother and sister whom she admires very much. Kendra, who lives in Brazil, has inspired Lindsay to be adventurous and want to travel. Matt's tranquil ways and encouragement give Lindsay the motivation she needs. He attends the University of California, Davis. After observing her mother and father, who are both elementary school teachers, Lindsay has a good idea of what hard work is. Chuck and Sally have always supported Lindsay in whatever new task she take on.

This year Lindsay has some very challenging classes. She loves all of her teachers so much that she would never be able to choose her favorite. Science really interests her. After high school, Lindsay plans to attend one of the University of California campuses. Her future occupation remains to be seen.
