Amy graduated from Toddy Thomas School in 1993 and has been involved in a variety of sports practically her whole life. She started playing recreation basketball in second grade. Her love of basketball was inherited from her father who played high school and still plays recreation basketball. Amy played for the freshman basketball team at FUHS and then went on to play for the JV team her sophomore year (with a little experience on the Varsity team). She'd like to express her great appreciation to her freshman and JV basketball coach Mike Benbow. He inspired her and made her feel great about herself and her playing ability. She will never forget him. Amy is playing her first year on Varsity this year as a guard or forward.
Amy has also been involved in many other sports including soccer, volleyball, baseball (softball), cheerleading and track. Amy played soccer fourth through eighth grade. She's played with the first official FUHS girls' soccer team for the past two years. Amy played volleyball for her seventh and eighth grade years, and for the FUHS JV volleyball team her freshman year. Amy also played softball in sixth and eighth grade. Amy ran track fourth through sixth grade and was on the FUHS Varsity track team her sophomore year.
Amy is also very active in school. She participates in Interact, CSF, NHS and is junior class treasurer. She also accompanies the school choir and plays keyboard for her church (Wood Street Chapel). Amy has played the piano for eleven years and now teaches piano lessons to two students.
Amy has fun listening to music, talking on the phone, hanging out with her friends/boyfriend, visiting her relatives, spending time with her family, having parties (get-togethers), watching movies, and working out at Healthsport.
Amy plans to go on to a four-year university in California, preferably UC Santa Cruz, UC Santa Barbara, or HSU. She then plans to become a teacher, biologist, forester, manager, or dietician. Amy wants to minor in both foreign language (Spanish) and anthropology. She also hopes to play some college basketball and maybe soccer.
Amy's parents are Don and Mercedes Crispin. Don is a teacher at Toddy Thomas School and Mercedes is a teacher at Hydesville Elementary School. Amy's sister Mandy is in seventh grade at Toddy Thomas School. Amy has many cats and two dogs. Her family also has several varieties of snakes that her father breeds.
