Sara Fletcher

Sophomore

Sara Fletcher is a sophomore at Fortuna High School. She takes part in many different sports. 

Sara loves to run track. She ran in 5th grade up till her 8th grade year at Fortuna Middle School.  During those four years Sara broke a total of 13 school records, and was on the basketball team all four years.  During her 7th and 8th grade years Sara was on the volleyball team and captain of the cheerleading squad.   Sara’s 8th grade year was rewarding, she received a sportsmanship award and top Physical Educations student award at the end of the year. 

Although Sara spent a lot of time with her sports activities, she also was active in her school council. She was a class representative her 5th and 6th grade year, and Vice President her 7th grade year.

Last year, her Freshman year at Fortuna High School she made the freshman basketball team, and the cheerleading squad for Junior Varsity football. At the end of the year Sara was awarded the best dancer. 

Sara was also on the track team. She made it to Meet  of Champion's and broke the school record for the 4X100 relay.   In the Meet of Champions Sara got her first  Humboldt Del Norte All-County star for winning the 200 hurdles and another All-County star for winning the 4X400 relay.  This year as a sophomore, Sara was pulled up to play on the Varsity Basketball Team.  

Sara's parents are Mike and Jane Fletcher whom support her one hundred percent. They try to attend her sports activities and school activities as much as they can.  Her older sister is Jennifer Fletcher whom attends Eastern Washington University.  Jennifer graduated high school in Washington at Columbia High.  Sara has an older Bother Ryan who graduated High School at Fortuna High. Ryan is now living in Maui Hawaii.
