Ryann MacMillan

Senior

Ryann has been playing since she was just a wee-kid.  She began playing at Cuddeback Elementary School with her friends Melissa Parker and Amanda Ross, playing Pee-Wee's. Basketball.  She joined a real Basketball team in sixth grade where she played on the Junior Varsity team.  In the seventh grade, she played on the Varsity Basketball team.  The 8th grade was a good year for her and the Cuddeback team.

The spring of her 8th grade year she played on the AAU team in South Fork for Rex Collingsworth and Randy Macmillan.  She would like to thank them for helping her improve as a player.  During her freshman year she played on the Junior Varsity team for Coach Howard Scott as a forward.  In her sophomore year she played Junior Varsity again and became a forward/guard, where she grew as a player.  Last year as a junior, she played as a small forward/guard on the Varsity Team again for Coach Howard Scott.  Now that she has entered her senior year at Fortuna High School, she is playing for Coach Scott, once again.

Ryann works hard and gets a 3.0 GPA while taking college prep courses. Throughout her academic program, she has gotten awards for leadership and good grades known as the Rotary Scholarships and President Achievement Award.

In basketball, she has received all Tournament and MVP awards.  Ryann received the Most Valuable Player along with her friend Amanda Ross during her sophomore year. This award was voted by her teammates on the Junior Varsity team.

Ryann would like to thank her friends and family members. Most of all she want to thank her mom, Melody MacMillan and her dad, Randy MacMillan, for all their knowledge and support in her basketball career. Thanks to her grandparents for always being there. To everyone not mentioned, thanks!
