Haylee is 16 years old and a
junior Fortuna High School.
She has enjoyed playing sports
since she was a little girl. She has been playing basketball since she was in 2nd
grade. Prior to High School, she played basketball at Town School in
Fortuna, and before that, she played on co-ed recreational teams. During
her freshman year she was awarded “Most Improved Player”.
As a sophomore, she was awarded “Miss Utility” because she was able
to play any position.
During the off season, Haylee
played on an AAU team, attended summer camps at HSU and Snow Valley, and
participated in the high school summer basketball program.
Haylee also loves to play soccer,
and has been playing since she was in second grade.
She was on the JV team for two years and varsity team this year.
When she’s not playing sports,
Haylee enjoys talking on the phone, hanging
out with her friends and family, shopping and traveling.
She also works part time for the Humboldt Beacon newspaper.
Haylee maintains a 3.5 GPA and is
involved in many school clubs and activities, including playing on the winning
junior team for the powder-puff game this year.
Haylee is very excited to play
Varsity Basketball this year, and she believes they can make it to the North
Coast Section because of the player’s and coach’s hard work and dedication.
Haylee would also like to thank
