Jena Wheeler was born and raised in Humboldt County. Jena has a huge passion for sports. Jena has played soccer and softball since she was 7 years of age and basketball since she was 6 years old. Jena has tried many other sports such as volleyball, track and cheerleading. Pole Vaulting has become one of her many favorite sports.
When Jena isn't playing a sport she is usually working or hanging out with her friends and family. Jena works at The Eel River Brewery, located in Fortuna. She loves working there because she feels that all the employees and customers are very friendly.
Jena hopes to play basketball and soccer in Santa Barbara, where she is planning to go to college next year. Before she starts thinking about college ball, she has many expectations for her senior year basketball season. She feels that her basketball team is going to be very strong and prosperous. Jena also feels that the Fortuna High girls basketball program improves every year thanks to all the coaches’ huge dedication and all the players too. "It wouldn't be what it is today without the wonderful coaches."
School is also very important to Jena. She hopes to go to medical school after attending Santa Barbara, and eventually becoming a reconstructive surgeon.
