Ashley has lived in Humboldt County her whole life. She started playing basketball in the 6th grade for Hydesville Elementary School, where she graduated as the class valedictorian. Ashley played on the Junior Varsity team her 6th grade year and started as a guard. Her 7th and 8th grade years she played on the Varsity team and also started as a guard.
Ashley's freshmen's year she played basketball for Coach Rosser, who helped her develop and strengthen her basketball skills. That season Ashley was very surprised to be awarded the Jennifer Nunnemaker Award. Ashley's sophomore year she played on Junior Varsity for Coach Scott. Coach Scott helped develop and strengthen Ashley's basketball skills even more. She is very good at playing defense. This year Ashley is playing on the Varsity team for Coach Scott who is helping her become a better all around player. She believes this year will be very crucial to prove herself to her teammates as well as her coaches. Ashley owes her dedication to basketball to her great coaches and especially her parents.
Her parents have encouraged her and supported her all throughout her basketball career. She appreciates their support very much.
Ashley is very active with her extra curricular activities and her schooling. She has been a starting player for volleyball. Her freshmen year she played on J.V. and her sophomore and junior year she played on varsity.
She is a member of the CSF and NHS (National Honors Society) programs. She has taken all College Prep classes, including honors and advanced placement classes, and maintains a steady job at Campton Heights Market. With all of Ashley's extra activities she has still been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Also, during her extra time she spends time with her boyfriend, Neale. She would like to thank him for his dedication for taking Ashley to and from practice everyday. She also thanks him for his encouragement and supportive attitude; it means a lot to her
