Aimee
has played sports since she was very young. Born in Fort Bragg with all older
boys, she grew up as a
tomboy. At six, she began playing soccer, basketball, and t-ball.
In middle school, she played basketball for Toddy Thomas, soccer for local Class III teams, and Little League softball. Aimee played soccer at the varsity level for three years. This year she decided to take a break from soccer to focus on other things. Aimee received the Rookie of the Year Award and Most Improved Player Award her soccer years at FUHS. Aimee has played softball for Fortuna for three years going on four. Last year she received an All-County star as a second baseman in H-DN softball. Aimee has played on a school basketball team since sixth grade at Toddy Thomas, where she still holds four records, m eighth grade. Toddy won the championship at Crescent City, where she was named MVP. Aimee has also played for the Lady Eagles AAU team. Her JV year she received the Jennifer Nunnemaker Award. She was moved up to varsity her sophomore year.
Aimee enjoys many other things, off the court. She likes spending time with her family, snowboarding, road trips, and hanging with friends. Aimee has worked at the basketball camps sponsored by Fortuna Parks and Recreation for three years. Aimee is also featured in "Who's Who Among America High School Students in Sports". Throughout high school, Aimee has maintained a 3.2 GPA. She received a GSE Academic Excellence Award in algebra. She is currently a member of NHS and Interact. Her future goals are major in Accounting or Kinesiology. She is thinking about going to Chico State or University of Redlands. Aimee's team goals this year are to dominate other teams by using quickness and speed. She feels that the defense Fortuna is using will stop any type of offense. She also hopes to get into NCS and win. She feels that since her team can battle the brutal waves in Gold Beach, they can come together and beat any team.
Aimee wants to thank everyone who has coached her, and her family for all their love and support.
