Caroline Fearrien

SENIOR

Caroline began playing basketball in the fourth grade at Hydesville Elementary School.  She transferred to Casterlin School after fifth grade, where she played basketball for the next three years.  She also played a year of softball, but it wasn’t her favorite sport.  Caroline concentrated on basketball because of her love of the sport and the friends she’s made along the way.  This is her fourth year of basketball for Fortuna High School.  During her sophomore year, her Junior Varsity teammates selected her as The Most Inspirational Player, an award her sister Liz had also won the year before.

Caroline is very excited about her senior year.  She isn’t sure but she thinks she would like to go to college either somewhere in San Diego or to Butte junior college, near Chico.  As a future career, Caroline wants to be a nurse or a sports therapist.

Besides school and basketball, Caroline likes to hang out with her friends, watch movies, and ride horses.  She has lived all of her 18 years on a ranch in Blocksburg; she doesn’t really mind the hour and fifteen minute commute to town.  She hopes to own her own ranch in the future.

Caroline would like to thank all the people that have helped her achieve her goals.  She thanks all of her coaches who pushed her along and gave her confidence in herself.  She thanks her closest friends, “the girls”, and Bud for always being there for her.  She thanks her sister for making her try out for the freshmen girls basketball team and believing in her.  Lastly, Caroline thanks both her parents for their love and support and coming to all of her games.
