Brenda has remained very busy since graduating in 1976 from Fortuna High School. Brenda first went on to attended College of the Redwoods. While she was there she played intercollegiate volleyball, basketball and fast pitch softball. She was an outstanding athlete for two years. She has done so many things since high school but her most memorable playing time was when she played in all Indian Basketball Tournaments that were held throughout California, Nevada, and Oregon. Brenda was on a winning team again. She has enough trophies, that she could open her own trophy store. Brenda has been very involved in Native America activities over the years and she was in Washington, DC a couple of years ago with other Native American leaders to meet with the President.
She has been coaching the Loleta Girls Junior Varsity Basketball Team for the past several years. Brenda still plays volleyball and slo-pitch softball. She lives in Fortuna and is married and has two children.
