Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts Eddie Guion attended public school and college. In the fourth grade, he discovered his love of music when he took up the Saxophone. Eddie became proficient with the Sax by the time he graduated high school.
In 1971 Eddie found himself in Texas with the Army, where he continued his musical endeavors for recreation, adding keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, and drums to his repertoire. After his discharge from the Army, Eddie became part of the Austin Music Scene.
In 1976 Eddie made his home in Colorado, where he studied with several well known instructors, including Scott Martin, and has perfected his musical skills. An exceptional performer and musician, Eddie has opened for many nationally known bands and acts including The Gap, Edgar Winter, Stanley Clark, and Air Supply. He has played with the Shirelles and “Bowser” of ShaNaNa. Most recently he performed on a special cruise event with The Temptations. He played keyboard at The Breckenridge Jazz Festival for the renowned band Weather Report and for artist Alphonse Mourzon.
Always busy in his life long career as a professional musician, Eddie will dazzle you whether he’s performing soul, oldies, smooth jazz, Motown, or 60’s surf music. Currently he is combining his talent with a group of six world class musicians who intend to take us back in time to the early years of rock and roll… “The RETROROCKETS.” Don’t miss Eddie Guion in his most recent endeavor, as they take you on a flashback tour of rock and roll.
