Homilies

These are my preaching pages. I decided it would be good to actually put some of my homilies on the web, for any who are interested in them. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to reproduce Hebrew or Greek letters in HTML, and so some of these homilies only have transliterated forms, which are not as desirable. Please note that within these homilies, in any word transliterated from Hebrew with a "ch", the "ch" is always pronounced with a back consonant such as Scottish "Loch", never a hard "ch" as in "child".

The church in Trinidad is an Episcopal congregation which uses the building of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, on the corner of Hector and Underwood Streets, in Trinidad, California. It began as a preaching station under the umbrella of Christ Church in Eureka, but has been newly named Sts. Martha and Mary, and was dedicated as a mission church on September 24, 2006.

St. Alban's Episcopal Church is on Chester Avenue in Arcata, California. It is my home parish, less than a mile from our house. Our new rector is the Rev. Sara Potter, who was installed on June 29th, 2008. Welcome Sara!

Let the words of our mouths and the meditation of all our hearts be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, our strength and our redeemer.
