WORLD HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY - 9th Grade (Year Course)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course, that follows the History-Social Science Framework, will include the study of World History, Culture, and Geography. Some time will be spent on historical review of the early past but the primary emphasis will be 1789 to the present. Some topics included in this in-depth approach to the study of World History are: Modern Problems, Rise of Democratic Ideas, the Industrial Revolution, Imperialism and Colonialism, World War I and II, Totalitarianism and Nationalism in Modern and Contemporary World. Required for graduation.
