About the artist:

Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Doug relocated to the North Coast for college.

He soon fell in love with Humboldt County, and stayed.

He has a degree in art from Humboldt State University,

and has lived in Arcata, California since 1984

. Doug loves spending time at the beach with the dogs climbing on rocks and riding his horse around town

. In addition to painting and having shows, Doug runs a full service picture frame shop, and graphics studio.

Doug's wife Jennifer is a therapist at Humboldt Family ServiceCenter

Doug and Jennifer got married last 4th of July.
