: : My wife and I placed a flooring order with BeaverHome at the beginning of August (Our credit card was charged on August 5). At that time, we were told to expect two to three weeks for delivery. After a month, I called to check on the status of the order and was told they were behind due to equipment problems, but that the order should ship that week. The following week I called to check on the order status. This time I was told the truck had just arrived and that the order should ship that day. Keep in mind, my original order was for a warehouse clearance sale and was supposed to be in stock!!! After another week, I called to check on the status of the order and was told it would be two to three weeks. Throughout this entire process, I had called BeaverHome about 10 times and each time was told someone would return my call. During that time, only one call was ever returned.

: : Originally I was pleased with BeaverHome and their response to questions and sample requests. However, due to the problems listed above, the week before last I felt I had no option but to cancel my order. At the time of cancellation, I was told that I would be credited for the full amount. This week when I called on the status of the credit, I was told BeaverHome policy was refunds take 30-60 days to process and that this policy was stated on the web site. First, this policy was never explained at the time the order was placed. Furthermore, I've searched the BeaverHome web site and have yet to be able to find any such policy. BeaverHome had no problems with charging my account in one day for a product they didn't have but wants to keep my money for four months without providing any flooring.

: : If you were considering any purchases from BeaverHome I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. I would be more than happy to discuss my experience with any potetial BeaverHome customers.

We are in a similar situation. It appears that Beaverhome has unlawful business practices and scams people of their money. We placed our order for hardwood floors on August 27th - $6,000 worth of flooring. I event overnighted a check because they were going to have to charge a fee for processing a credit card payment. They said our wood would be ready in 8 weeks - or by the end of October. I thought - perfect... we need them by mid November based upon our building schedule. I have been trying to get a delivery date for over a month, and have never been able to get an answer. Just the run around.

Finally, I spoke with Neal who took my order, and he said "You can go ahead and cancel your order...I have people lined up for that wood." He also indicated that he does not provide customer service. He somehow feels he has the license to harrass people for orders by guerilla marketing and spam, and feels he can then treat his "customers" like punching bags. I have been emotinally put through the ringer....I nearly had a breakdown.

As it stands, we decided to accept the wood this week - have we seen it? No. The reason we decided to accept the wood was we are in the middle of construction and need to move into our home, and more importantly, they wouldn't refund our money for 60 days! That is ludicrous.

Now they won't take my calls AGAIN, and we have not received any delivery information. These people are crooks. They need to be stopped.

Any ideas? I will be filing complaints with various consumer protection agencies and the Attorney General. We have had enough abuse.

If you would like to discuss, please email back to lvpromo@cove.com.

thank you, Lisa
