: Actually, minerals spirits is commonly used in silicone sealers designed to seal grout. The minerals spirits are absorbed by the grout which pulls the silicone in with it. The mineral spirits evaporate leaving the silicone intact. It will not cause discolorations in a portland cement grout. In fact it is the sealer of choice for marble & granite.
