There are a couple of things I'm wondering about. Are you sure the vinyl manufacturer recommended a multipurpose adhesive for that particular product? Some styles have pure vinyl backings which require special adhesives.
But what concerns me more is your method of rolling the floor. Most products require rolling the floor with a 75 to 100 lb. vinyl roller. These rollers are very smooth are are generally available at rental outlets. You
may even try getting one now and going over it again using arm's length back and forth motion in both directions.
