One likely possibility, since the problem is fairly recent compared to the time its been installed, you have some areas where a pocket has developed between the adhesive and the wood laminate floor(assuming this is not a "floating" type floor). Several mfgs. make repair kits available for this. Basically, you drill a small hole, inject some adhesive to fill the pockets and then patch the hole. Check with your local wood flooring retailers and see what they have available.
