Thanks, Glenn, for your advice. I've discovered vintage linoleum under a piece of carpet in a small room off the master bed room in our 1870's New Englander. We have two layers of linoleum. One I believe from the '40's-'50's and the one underneath from the '20's - '30's (or earlier?). I would like to date these pieces -- I've visited the Secondhand Rose site and assume if I brought photos to the store they would be able to give me an idea of when the linoleum was manufactured and show me samples of similar patterns. I want to use the lower piece -- in situ -- but will need to -- CAREFULLY -- clean it. Thanks for the tips and any other info. would be most welcome!
