We are considering laying hardwood over linoleum and have heard conflicting reports on whether or not this is a good idea. In our case, the old floor is from the 60s and has felt under which is next to impossible to remove. Our other option is to cut out the layer with the linoleum and put down a new layer of subflooring. Any thoughts? Thanks!
