Beware of BeaverHome

My wife and I placed a flooring order with BeaverHome at the beginning of August (Our credit card was charged on August 5). At that time, we were told to expect two to three weeks for delivery. After a month, I called to check on the status of the order and was told they were behind due to equipment problems, but that the order should ship that week. The following week I called to check on the order status. This time I was told the truck had just arrived and that the order should ship that day. Keep in mind, my original order was for a warehouse clearance sale and was supposed to be in stock!!! After another week, I called to check on the status of the order and was told it would be two to three weeks. Throughout this entire process, I had called BeaverHome about 10 times and each time was told someone would return my call. During that time, only one call was ever returned.

Originally I was pleased with BeaverHome and their response to questions and sample requests. However, due to the problems listed above, the week before last I felt I had no option but to cancel my order. At the time of cancellation, I was told that I would be credited for the full amount. This week when I called on the status of the credit, I was told BeaverHome policy was refunds take 30-60 days to process and that this policy was stated on the web site. First, this policy was never explained at the time the order was placed. Furthermore, I've searched the BeaverHome web site and have yet to be able to find any such policy. BeaverHome had no problems with charging my account in one day for a product they didn't have but wants to keep my money for four months without providing any flooring.

If you were considering any purchases from BeaverHome I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. I would be more than happy to discuss my experience with any potetial BeaverHome customers.
