Use care when using mineral spirits around the grout it can cause discoloration so use it sparingly.

: It really depends on the paint.
: For a latex paint I would use soapy water (dishwashing liquid) and a plastic scrub brush. this should be the easiest type of paint to remove.
: For enamel paint I would use mineral spirits spinkled with water (slows evaporation) and a plastic scrub brush. Afterwards, clean with soapy water and rinse.
: The cutting edge of a plastic butter knife can be used to scrape any difficult to penetrate thick spots.
: Avoid using acids, powdered cleansers like Comet, or detergents that contain phosphates.
