I'm assuming you'd like to restore the old hardwood floor. This is not an easy job for a DIYer.
I suggest you contact a licensed professional hardwood installer. They have the equipment as expertise to
sand and refinish the floor.
Anyway, must have been a pleasant shock to find a good hardwood floor under the carpet. Can you believe someone
would cover it with carpet?
