I recently bought and old victorian house that had carpet in it. pulled back the old carpet to find hardwood under it. at one time it looked like it had a rug in the center and had been painted a yellowish orange all around the edges. i've checked three rooms so far and they all have it. the paint seems to be very old. was wondering if a floor sander would remove it or would i have to use some kind of stripper first. this home is over a 100 years old and i think it would look better with the original wood floor rather than putting down more carpet.any help appreciated much. thanks dave
