I would like to have a black and white checkerboard floor installed in my 100 year old 9X12 kitchen. Nothing to contemporary looking.
It must be a sturdy product as I have two young children and a dog and the area gets lots of traffic.
My max price is $800. The ripout has been done and we are down to the subfloor. Wondering if I can save $s by doing the plywood underlay ourselves. What size is best for this and can it be done by a fairly handy husband?
We will definetly leave the floor installation itself to a pro.
Can anybody out there give me a product recommendation?
Explored using Marmoleum (love this product)but the installer came in at $1500! Is there a less expensive alternative?
