Please answer if you know. I am trying to figure out which situation would yield the longest lenght. I need about 700 sq ft. I can buy about 80 feet more of the #1 common white oak for the same price as the Select and better. If I have the facts correct Select and better will give an average lenght of .5 feet more average lenght. If I go with the # 1 common and I cull out 80 sq feet of the shortest (use for a secondary use) will I come out with a longer average lenght than going with the select and better? Am I missing any other issues. Thanks in advance.
