I am planning on installing a floating laminate floor over ceramic tile. My house is built on a slab. (S. California) I currently have tile in the kitchen,diningroom, foyer/hallway, and bathroom. The livingroom and front bedroom currently have carpet which I plan to remove and replace with the laminate flooring as well. I need to raise the floor in these 2 rooms to match the level of the tiled rooms. What would be the best way to raise these floor levels. I don't want to have different levels of flooring and it would be much more difficult to remove all the tile and patch those floors. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
