leveling concrete slab for ceramic tile

I have a 360sq ft concrete slab. About 100 sq ft of which is not level to about 1/4 to 1/2 in below the rest of the slab. I have purchased a self-leveling agent, but I am unsure as to how to apply it. Any suggestions would be appreciated
