I need to replace the carpet in my living rrom. I have tile in the rest of the house. I was going to replace the carpet with laminate (probably Wilsonart or Mannington) but I am oncerned about posts regarding smudges and smears and footprints on laminate. Is it enough of a problem to go with carpet again rather than laminate? Have there been any new advances in laminate flooring within the past few months and what arethe prospects for improvement in the near future?
