The TCETP is a grass-roots volunteer organization whose primary focus is to facilitate the development of online computer telecommunications in the K-12 schools of the rural Northern California counties of Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity.

The group intends to create a network of parents, teachers, students, and a cross-section of community members who would like to help implement and support the goals and specific projects that will be, or may already be, developed.

TCETP provides lists of volunteer workers and their specific skills from help with funding and equipment to advice on hardware and software, from tutors and mentors to technicians and programmers. The TCETP seeks only to facilitate the individual efforts of those schools that would like its assistance. The individual school (or training center) will be encouraged to develop their own support staff when possible and have total control over the content of their online communications. TCETP will provide information and support, but the school will make the final decisions. The field of educational communications is extremely dynamic at this time. Consequently, the TCETP will be a dynamic project: flowing with the advancing stream of telecom technology and providing a bridge to bring that technology into theschools to aid and advance our kid's educations.
