Oversight of land development activities for small consulting firm.  Responsible for Scope of projects range from budgeting, due diligence reporting, planning, design, and plan preparation, to permit coordination and construction administration.  Major projects include rezone of residential lot to commercial in Collier County (FL), expansion of noncompliant commercial property in East Naples (FL), forty-unit condominium and marina in Chokoloskee (FL), and a subdivision on ecologically sensitive land in Lee County (FL). Assisted Habitat for Humanity of Collier County (FL) in established backlog of home sites in Collier County through the year 2012.

Provision of engineering and planning consulting services for diverse residential and commercial land developers.  Responsible for client and agency relations, development of feasibility analyses, and day-to-day operation of land development team including proposal writing, budget management, and supervision of multi-disciplinary staff.  Major projects included planning and design of 2,500-unit gold course community with expansive town center element in Fort Myers (FL), 1,900-unit residential community in Bonita Springs (FL), 320-unit residential community in Collier County (FL), 92-unit, 52-slip condominium/marina in Collier County (FL), 540-slip marina in Lee County (FL), and 15-acre shopping center.

Provision of engineering consulting services for infrastructure development, water and wastewater treatment, and distribution/collection systems.  Projects included design of 34-MGD wastewater collection system including extensive analysis for property acquisition and site planning, design reverse osmosis desalinization facility, infrastructure design for 80-unit residential community, and development of feasibility studies for multiple land development projects.  Responsible for proposal writing, budget and schedule development, project management, client relations, permitting, and engineering staff supervision.

Provision of engineering services to major industrial clients for development and legal clients and for expert witness services.  Participated in the design of a 7-mile discharge pipeline and was responsible for the development of environmental impact reports and obtaining environmental permits.  Conducted Environmental Site Assessments for land development clients.  Developed budgets and proposals and supervised staff.

Bayou Preservation Association, Houston, TX

General Support, 1997 – 1999

 

Provided support to the Executive Director of region’s first local environmental non-profit organization (founded 1965).  Promoted programs for the preservation of the ecological integrity and intrinsic value of 2,500 miles of natural waterways including bayous, streams, and Galveston Bay.  Activities included reviewing and developing proposals, budgets, and support of organizational activities such as capital campaigns and meetings.

Developed small town public works projects with local and international agencies.  Assisted communities in developing and managing programs by training populations in basic technologies and providing material resources necessary to overcome water supply and sanitary deficiencies.  Responsible for project and construction management activities.  Participated in organization of regional (East Africa) seminar on AIDS prevention, attended by nearly 200 Peace Corps Volunteers and government officials.
