PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Currently, Environmental Engineer for the Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority, Crescent City, California. Managing projects associated with Oil Recycling, Illegal Solid Waste Dumping, Mitigation Wetlands, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Cleanup, Crescent City Landfill Wastewater Ponds Remediation Also the design of the Crescent City Landfill Truck Scale and responsibility for the testing and data analysis for the Crescent City Landfill water quality. Working closely with other government agencies and several native American tribes implementing the various projects. Research/ Engineering Consultant for Hydro Resources International, California, working in water quality research on a municipal wastewater treatment system, designing a database collection system for a metropolis, research and development of wetland treatment systems. Assistant Professor for the Environmental Resources Engineering Department, at Humboldt State University, California, teaching engineering classes in introduction to water quality, water quality analysis, solid waste management, design of water and wastewater treatment systems. Operations Manager for Guinulero S.A., Colombia, South America, directing all operations in the creation and administration of a 2400 acre industrial shrimp farm. Designing, surveying, supervising, scheduling, budgeting and managing all construction projects. Engineer/ Architect for Plan International Inc., Colombia, South America, designing and developing Community Development Projects, such as community centers, schools, health centers, water and sanitation projects, and concrete pedestrian bridges. Emergency Program Supervisor for the Instituto De Credito Territorial, Colombia, South America where he was responsible for the supervision of the reconstruction of over five hundred family dwellings that were destroyed by a earthquake/tidal wave that occurred in the southwestern pacific coast of Colombia on December 12th, 1979. He was also responsible for establishing the first building code which was very similar to the United States Uniform Building Code and organizing community awareness meetings in autoconstruction.
