Pelican's Nest
A Luxury Retreat Overlooking Scenic Trinidad Bay
Trinidad was home to the Tsurai Indians over 350 years ago and many of their descendants still live here. The Portuguese landed on the bay in 1595. In 1775, the Spanish claimed the land and planted a cross on Trinidad Head which still stands. Trinidad is an ancient and spiritual place and one of the best whale-watching spots on the coast.
In addition to whale watching, Trinidad also offers beaches and trails for walking, tide pools and forests for exploring, and some of the best sea kayaking and fishing on the North Coast.
