Humboldt Internet Accelerator Basics - Mac VersionHumboldt Internet Accelerator MenuWhen you click the Humboldt Internet Accelerator icon in the menu bar, the Humboldt Internet Accelerator menu appears. From the menu, you can see the current status of Humboldt Internet Accelerator and your current web acceleration setting. You may modify this setting by selecting an acceleration level between Maximum and Low. You can also disable Humboldt Internet Accelerator by selecting Off. The menu includes an option to block banner ads and other in-page ads. It also has a Links command that provides access to the Humboldt Internet Accelerator home page and to online user information including the Quick Tour and Using Humboldt Internet Accelerator (this document). The Quick Tour is available under Links from the Humboldt Internet Accelerator menu. To access this menu, click the Humboldt Internet Accelerator icon in the menu bar. HelpThe Help menu option opens a local help file. Humboldt Internet Accelerator Help includes the following information:
Help is available from the Humboldt Internet Accelerator menu. To access this menu, click the Humboldt Internet Accelerator icon in the menu bar. Humboldt Internet Accelerator StatusThe top two lines in the menu show the current status of Humboldt Internet Accelerator. The status may be one of the following:
Accelerator: Enabled The Humboldt Internet Accelerator icon in the menu bar changes to reflect the status. For example, when the status is Normal, the icon appears as a filled gray propeller. When there is acceleration activity, the filled propeller spins. When Humboldt Internet Accelerator user-disabled, the propeller is hollow with a dark outline. By clicking the icon, you can determine the current status because it displays in the Humboldt Internet Accelerator menu.
