Red huckleberry
(Vaccinium parvifolium)

Red huckleberry and false azalea are deciduous shrubs in the heath family, most common in old-growth Sitka spruce and coast redwood forests.  These species grow side-by-side in the Octopus Trees Grove in Patrick's Point State Park.
